Yesterday was a day of seafood for the few of us... Woke up at 5.30am in the morning so that we can reach Market City at about 6.30am. Market City is more of a whole sale market rather than a consumer market. Every Saturday will be the "Seafood Day". Only Terrence and me went for the "shopping trip". Freezing cold leh.. even colder than when we first arrive here in jandakot. Anyway, these are the pics that i took at the seafood section.

We spend about $50 in total on all the seafood and groceries.. so still not that bad deal as there are 5 of us sharing the cost..

Check out this fish, the length of Terrence's forearm, the best buy of the day bah.. that fish only cost us $9Aus.. OMG =P ![]()

The thing about buying the fishes in the wholesale market is that we have to clean up the fish ourselves... descaling the fishes, removing the intestines... Sigh.. stood there an hour plus just cleaning up those fishes..Camped by the side of the rubbish bin to descale.. heehee.. shhhh... =P

After all the cleaning up and cutting up of the stuff, went back, took 3 showers.. and most importantly a power nap.. heehee..
Zzzz about 1.5 hours and woke up, and waited for the kitchen to free up i can cook. Guess is a saturday nite, so there are more ppl cooking dinner. =P When it was my turn to cook, it was about 7.30pm then, so have to multi-task a little then, had to pan-fry the fishes, deep-frying the calamaris, preparing the fishes, LOL... reminded me of those days working in the kitchen.. Anyway, aftersome time, our fiesta is done up. The menu of the day
1)Red Snapper with Xiang's sauce
2)Pan-fried fishes with sambal chilli
3)Stir fired Snow Peas sprouts
4)Assorted mushrooms
5)Aparugus with mayo
6)Calamari Rings
7)Fried rice (left over lunch actually =P )

We may have a little too much at the end of the day.. haha...but we do have a cat to feed.. heehee

Twist
@ Thursday, 26. Apr, 2007 – 21:24:42
TOday had been a weird day. Or should i say... me. Been very very moody nowadays as well. Zzzz usually work well for me.. okay.. it did, but for a short period of time. This morning was fine... It was untill i went out later in the afternoon, suddenly reality sank into me... sort of.. thats bad! Then there goes my singing session. Wasn't in the mood to sing liao. Took my camera there with the intentions to take some memories, ended up not using it at all.
I know why i became moody... been lying to myself too much. Bluffing myself to say. Just that now have to face myself and to face back reality. What can i say to the welcoming back of reality. EErrggghhh..... procrastinating too much. Depressing mood... just so not me now.....just venting it out here!

Yet another day
@ Monday, 23. Apr, 2007 – 21:48:06
Today was suppose to go Albany, but did not manage to get there. Had to turn back halfway due to weather. Somehow still manage to salvage two more circuits from it. Lucky me in a way.
Another boring day once again for me... Just give me too much time to think about stuff.. and now having bad headache. Not so much from the thinking but rather from the small nap that i had... sleeping position. Tension headache since then. And not helping much that matters that i dun think about start surfacing again... Bad..... Rather gloomy, just like the weather. And wheres my sunshine?

@ Monday, 16. Apr, 2007 – 21:15:01
Time has come again... closing in to the wintery season... COLD.. Yesterday just had a thunderstorm weather coming through here.. And according to the forecast, more fronts are coming in.. which means more low cloud base, rain and thunderstorm probablity...
Hmm.. planning for flights for this week seemed a bit "not possible" =P
Another thing... my friend and his wife just arrived today for their honeymoon. Went to pick them up at the airport, passed them the road directory.. my question is to them was: Why perth? LOL
Since most ppl would actually choose somewhere more romantic.. not as laid back as here though =P Was told due to budget.. hahaha.. but nevertheless.. wish them all the best! =)Thats about all folks! CHeers!

The Big SLOW down
@ Sunday, 08. Apr, 2007 – 00:16:57
I've recieved this very interesting email from my friend... and after reading it, sort of reminded me a few things about life. =)
And do take sometime to read this... Cheers!================================================================
An interesting reflection : Slow Down Culture
Author UnknownAt Swedish company, Volvo, any project here takes 2 years to be finalized, even if the idea is simple and brilliant. It's a rule.
Globalized processes have caused in us (all over the world) a general sense of searching for immediate results. Therefore, we have come to possess a need to see immediate results. This contrasts greatly with the slow movements of the Swedish. They, on the other hand, debate, debate, debate, hold x quantity of meetings and work with a slowdown scheme.
At the end, this always yields better results.
Said in another words:
1. Sweden is smaller than Thailand
2. Sweden has 2 million inhabitants (8% of Malaysian Total Population).
3. Stockholm has 500,000 people.
4. Volvo, Scania, SAAB , Ericsson, Electrolux, are some of its renowned companies. Volvo supplies to NASA.The first time I was in Sweden , one of my colleagues picked me up at the hotel every morning. It was September, bit cold and snowy. We would arrive early at the company and he would park far away from the entrance (2000 employees drive their car to work). The first day, I didn't say anything, neither the second or third. One morning I asked, "Do you have a fixed parking space? I've noticed we park far from the entrance even when there are no other cars in the lot." To which he replied, "Since we're here early we'll have time to walk, and whoever gets in late will be late and need a place closer to the door. Don't you think?" Can you imagine my face.
Nowadays, there's a movement in Europe named Slow Food. This movement establishes that people should eat and drink slowly, with enough time to taste their food, spend time with the family, friends, without rushing.
Slow Food is against its counterpart: the spirit of Fast Food and what it stands for as a lifestyle. Slow Food is the basis for a bigger movement called Slow Europe, as mentioned by Business Week.
Basically, the movement questions the sense of "hurry" and "craziness" generated by globalization, fueled by the desire of "having in quantity" (life status) versus "having with quality", "life quality" or the "quality of being". French people, even though they work 35 hours per week, are more productive than Americans or British. Germans have established 28.8 hour workweeks and have seen their productivity been driven up by 20%. This slow attitude has brought forth the US's attention, pupils of the fast and the "do it now!".
This no-rush attitude doesn't represent doing less or having a lower productivity. It means working and doing things with greater quality, productivity, perfection, with attention to detail and less stress. It means reestablishing family values, friends, free and leisure time. Taking the "now", present and concrete, versus the "global", undefined and anonymous. It means taking humans' essential values, the simplicity of living.
It stands for a less coercive work environment, more happy, lighter and more productive where humans enjoy doing what they know best how to do. It's time to stop and think on how companies need to develop serious quality with no-rush that will increase productivity and the quality of products and services, without losing the essence of spirit.
In the movie, Scent of a Woman, there's a scene where Al Pacino asks a girl to dance and she replies, "I can't, my boyfriend will be here any minute now". To which Al responds, "A life is lived in an instant". Then they danced to a tango.
Many of us live our lives running behind time, but we only reach it when we die of a heart attack or in a car accident rushing to be on time. Others are so anxious of living the future that they forget to live the present, which is the only time that truly exists. We all have equal time throughout the world. No one has more or less. The difference lies in how each one of us does with our time. We need to live each moment. As John Lennon said, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans".
Congratulations for reading till the end of this message. There are many who will have stopped in the middle so as not to waste time in this globalized world.
=============================================================
So how to you feel now? Realised that sometimes we are too "engrossed" in pursuing our so-called needs and stuff. Everything is getting faster and faster.... But why? Anyone watch the movie "Click" sort of reminded me of that movie as well...Hopefully i dun miss out on all those important moments and people in my life. Anyway.. Cheers to all and a belated Good Friday!

Feast
@ Tuesday, 03. Apr, 2007 – 12:47:43
For the past two weeks, we went crabbing... cos the crabbing season was going to end. As the weather get colder, is harder to go crabbing as well, cos have to stay inside the water for sometime. Look at our catch

In total, we caught almost 80 crabs over the two weeks. =) And the prawns too are wonderful.. heehee.. Is the process of catching it thats fun.Chasing after the crabs and prawn, having to spot them using touch light, enduring the cold winds...but at the end of the day is all worth it. Check the outcome of the crabs

So does it look delicious to you?? =) Been a long time since i cooked pepper crab.... still turned out fine hahaha.. cheers!
